In the Effect Controls panel:

  • Chromatic aberration groups Amount, Angle, Wavelength, Samples, Colour 1, Colour 2, Colour 3, and starts closed.
  • Matte gates which pixels may seed the halo, before the bright pass: light only escapes from where the matte is bright, but it still spills outward across dark matte — which fading the finished glow cannot do. Invert reads that matte inverted.
  • Threshold: how bright a pixel must be before it blooms.
  • Softness: how abruptly a pixel starts to bloom as it crosses the threshold.
  • Radius: how far the bloom spreads.
  • Falloff: at 0 the bloom is a soft gaussian. Above 0 it falls away from a bright core and keeps going, and higher values send more of the light further out.
  • Amount: how far the bloom’s colours are pulled apart.
  • Angle: the direction they are pulled apart in.
  • Wavelength spreads the bloom’s colours as one gradient instead of three taps.
  • Samples is how many taps fill the gradient while Wavelength is on.
  • Colour 1, Colour 2 and Colour 3 tint the three taps, the first one way along Angle and the third the other.
  • Intensity: how intense the bloom is.
  • Tint: the colour of the bloom. Neutral keeps each highlight’s own colour.
  • Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
  • Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
