Distortion
Distortion is an Audio effect.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”The shaping runs at four times the sample rate. Tone tilts the shaped sound darker or brighter.

What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Drive: how hard the sound is pushed into the shaper, in dB. On bit crush and rate reduce it picks the bit depth and the hold length instead.
- Shape: 0 soft clip, 1 hard clip, 2 foldback, 3 bit crush, 4 rate reduce.
- Tone: a tilt over the shaped sound, in dB. Below 0 is darker, above 0 brighter.
- Output: the level on the way out, in dB.
- Wet: how much of the output is the shaped sound.
