Black and white is a Colour effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”Converts the layer to black and white, with additional controls for the brightness of different colours.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Tint colour is editable while Tint is on.
- Matte is an input to an effect, scaling the strength. Invert inverts the mattes for calculating strength.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues and Magentas set how bright each colour becomes.
- Tint and Tint colour tint the greyscale output.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
- Matte and Invert drive the greyscale amount from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
