Colour balance is a Colour effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”Lift adjusts shadows.
Gamma adjusts mid-tones.
Gain adjusts highlights.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Matte pulls Lift toward 0 and Gamma and Gain toward 1 per pixel: white applies the full grade, black none. Invert reads that matte inverted.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Lift adjusts the tint and brightness of shadows.
- Gamma adjusts the tint and brightness of mid-tones.
- Gain adjusts the tint and brightness of highlights.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
- Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
