Spherize is a Distortion effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”Warps the layer as if a magnifying glass was warping the contents. Inverted this acts like a fisheye lens.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Matte scales Bulge per pixel: white bulges the full amount, grey less, black not at all. Invert reads that matte inverted.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Radius: adjust the area to warp.
- Bulge: which direction the image distorts in.
- Centre X and Centre Y: the centre point of the warp area.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
- Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
