Brightness is a Colour effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”Adds or subtracts light to every pixel.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Matte pulls Brightness toward 0 and Contrast toward 0 per pixel: white applies both in full, black neither. Invert reads that matte inverted.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Brightness is the light added to every channel.
- Contrast is the spread about mid-grey.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
- Matte and Invert drive the brightness amount from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
