Radial blur is a Blur & sharpen effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”A blur that extends around a centre point, or blurs directed outwards from the centre point.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Matte scales Amount per pixel: white sweeps the full Amount, grey a shorter one, black not at all. Invert reads that matte inverted.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Amount is the peak blur. Pixels nearer the centre get proportionally less.
- Centre X and Centre Y place where the spin or zoom originates.
- Type: Spin revolves the centre. Zoom extends out from the centre point.
- Edges: what the blur reads past the frame. Mirror reflects the picture at the edges.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
