In the Effect Controls panel:

  • Wiggles per second is editable while Wiggle type is anything but Static.
  • Matte scales Opacity per pixel: white draws the scribble in full, grey faintly, black nothing at all. Invert reads that matte inverted.
  • Mask: which of the layer’s masks to fill.
  • Colour: the pencil’s colour.
  • Angle: direction strokes run.
  • Stroke width: how thick a stroke is.
  • Spacing: how far apart strokes are laid.
  • Path overlap: how far each stroke runs over the mask’s edge.
  • Start and End: where the pen begins and stops.
  • Wiggle type: how the stroke wobbles.
  • Wiggles per second: how frequent the wiggles are.
  • Seed: randomises the wiggles.
  • Opacity: how strong the pencil is.
  • Composite on original: on, the layer the effect is on draws under the scribble.
  • Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
  • Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
