Scribble is a Generate effect.


What it does
Section titled “What it does”Scribble fills a mask with parallel pencil strokes at whatever angle you choose.

In the Effect Controls panel:
- Wiggles per second is editable while Wiggle type is anything but Static.
- Matte scales Opacity per pixel: white draws the scribble in full, grey faintly, black nothing at all. Invert reads that matte inverted.
What each control does
Section titled “What each control does”- Mask: which of the layer’s masks to fill.
- Colour: the pencil’s colour.
- Angle: direction strokes run.
- Stroke width: how thick a stroke is.
- Spacing: how far apart strokes are laid.
- Path overlap: how far each stroke runs over the mask’s edge.
- Start and End: where the pen begins and stops.
- Wiggle type: how the stroke wobbles.
- Wiggles per second: how frequent the wiggles are.
- Seed: randomises the wiggles.
- Opacity: how strong the pencil is.
- Composite on original: on, the layer the effect is on draws under the scribble.
- Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
- Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
