Stagger

Stagger is a Siceliot effect.

Gives each copy Clone to points stamps its own value, from Minimum on the first copy to Maximum on the last.

Wired into Clone to points’ own Scale, Rotation or Opacity, or into Label points’ Change, Label scale, Text step or Label rotation, it gives each stamp or label its own value, for up to 4096 points. In what a clone layer shows, it renders that layer once per copy, as Clone index does. Anywhere else it reads as the first copy of one.

  • Minimum: the value the first copy gets.
  • Maximum: the value the last copy gets.
  • Curve: how the values are spread between the first copy and the last.
  • Offset: moves the run along the copies, as a share of them.
  • Loop: past the last copy, start again from the first instead of holding.
  • Reverse: the last copy first.

Stagger from 0 to 90, on the layer that holds Clone to points and wired into its Rotation, turns the first copy 0° and the last 90°. Keyframe Offset from 0 to 100 with Loop on and the turn runs through the copies.
