In the Effect Controls panel:

  • Master groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness.
  • Reds groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Yellows groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Greens groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Cyans groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Blues groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Magentas groups Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and starts closed.
  • Matte scales every range’s Hue, Saturation and Lightness toward 0 per pixel: white applies them in full, black none. Invert reads that matte inverted.
  • Hue counts degrees around the colour wheel.
  • Saturation adjusts saturation, -100 is greyscale, and +100 doubles the saturation.
  • Lightness adjusts brightness.
  • Master applies to every pixel. Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues and Magentas apply to that range, and by how saturated the pixel already is.
  • Mix: how much of the result replaces the original.
  • Matte and Invert drive the strength of the effect from another layer’s brightness; see Effects.
